Dead body day.
Friday we started working on the head/neck/face. Our lab was at 10am, so the first group already had the skin off. I don't really enjoy picking minute amounts of fascia off of teeny tiny muscles, so I decided to go all the way to the bone. I cut her face in half, straight down the middle and began peeling it back. Her forehead (well, I guess it's not her forehead anymore, it's her frontal bone) was exposed and I removed the conjunctiva of the eye and the eyelid so it basically was an eyeball sitting in the skull. I cut her nose in half too.
Then I took the skin off her neck and found the platysma and a bunch of hyoid muscles. It was pretty fun.
Saturday I went to M'boro and had lunch with Tink! We went to Sushin and then her Cajun friends showed up and they basically stalked us the rest of the afternoon. We walked around "The Avenue" and decided that open air malls are bullshit. I bought some totally cute shorts and a tank top and workout pants at New York and Company because everything there is on sale for like 60% off.
Then I went to Mommy's and saw my Aunt and Uncle. We drank champagne and ate Fraunch cheese. You know at the grocery store, in the deli, they have those HUGE blocks of cheese? Mom bought one. It was like $22. Crazy Momma. Oh, I also found out that she reads my Live Journal and she said it was "raunchy." It doesn't seem raunchy to me. However, if I told you that she showed me her Ugly Fish - you might construe that as raunchy as well.
I stopped to get gas on the way out of town. The cashier asked me if I was having a good day. And I was. It was really nice.
