One particular question from a survey atomgal did on Friday stuck in my mind and kept joeyjojoshabado and I occupied for part of the drive to my parents' house this weekend.

If you were only allowed to listen to 5 of your CDs for the rest of your life, never adding anything else, which 5 could you listen to & be content with?

It's a difficult question, but here's what I think:

1. Simon & Garfunkel - The Concert in Central Park
2. R.E.M. - Fables of the Reconstruction
3. Morphine - Cure for Pain
4. Flogging Molly - Drunken Lullabies
5. Gogol Bordello - Gypsy Punks

Choosing the bands was fairly easy, but choosing just one album was damn near impossible. Honorable mentions go to R.E.M.'s Document and Life's Rich Pageant, Flogging Molly's Swagger, Morphine's Yes, and Primus' Frizzle Fry. And if they ever actually release a Futurama soundtrack, which i really think needs to exist, that would certainly make the list.

OK, it's almost 11:00 and i really should wash some dishes.
