This home is not a house

I'm preparing for an invasion of my peaceful values. And, I suppose, my happy home. Speaking of which...

The best thing I read today was our grand new law to help all those people defaulting on their mortgages by giving millions of dollars to the Fed-backed companies who are going bankrupt. That way, we won't have to nationalize anything, and all those investors can sleep tight. Um, I'm not a master of internationale finance, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't help anyone at all, you know, unless you're a millionaire who's got your net worth in limbo. Who'd a thunk we'd yearn for the good ol' 1930's, when those assholes would just jump out a window?

Counting the cars on the New Jersey Turnpike, they've all gone to look for America. - Paul Simon

Explain, explain, does it have to be about that? Maybe a Bible class in every school isn't such a radical suggestion after all. We could get renown scholars to come and explain that Noah really didn't kill the fucking dinosaurs, that maybe the metaphor is, sometimes you just have to build your boat and watch America drown... oops, did I write that out loud?
