Not Very Surprising

Although yikes, it's embarrassing to see how absurdly unbalanced my distribution is. Lifted from half the flist:

"Verbal-linguistic intelligence has to do with words, spoken or written. People with verbal-linguistic intelligence display a facility with words and languages. They are typically good at reading, writing, telling stories and memorizing words and dates. They tend to learn best by reading, taking notes, listening to lectures, and via discussion and debate. They are also frequently skilled at explaining, teaching and oration or persuasive speaking. Those with verbal-linguistic intelligence learn foreign languages very easily as they have high verbal memory and recall, and an ability to understand and manipulate syntax and structure.

Careers which suit those with this intelligence include writers, lawyers, philosophers, journalists, politicians and teachers." (Wikipedia)

I'm most baffled that I scored higher in Interpersonal than Intrapersonal and that I somehow got more than a big fat zero in Bodily-Kinesthetic. ~shrugs~ Ah well, all of these things oversimplify--but It's worth noting that of all the occupations suggested, the only one I haven't worked with in some capacity is Journalism.

In writing news, the floodgates of inspiration have finally opened, and I feel a breakthrough coming on. I'm getting whole scenes and chunks of dialogue; now I just need to write them all out and assemble them. That will be one of my main tasks for the weekend, with some time out to watch the MSU/U-M football grudge match with my dad tomorrow. It's perfect weather for staying in and writing: chilly, windy, damp and overcast. Add in some warm, wooly socks, the scent of something baking and a roaring fire, and I think that's a recipe for a near-perfect weekend.

~stretches and yawns~ Might have a nap later, too. The cats were in a raucous mood again last night after being left alone all day, and they kept raising hell under my bed when I just wanted to sleep. Naturally, now that I'm home and awake, they want to do nothing but sleep.

Oh, and after hearing so much about it, I finally picked up the first volume of Death Note, so that I can try it out and see if I like it. I know there are some fans on the flist, so I'll ask: am I about to be sucked into another obsession?
