Fun With Penguins
Stuck at the office? Bored out of your skull? In the mood to play computer games featuring animated Yetis?
Might I recommend the special games that the Detroit Free Press is featuring on its website? The Detroit Red Wings will (hopefully) win the Stanley Cup against the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight (YAY!!!), and to get in the spirit, the Free Press website is offering three amusing games featuring (animated) penguins as ammo. They're amusing, bizarrely addictive, and not a bad diversion for a Monday afternoon. I don't condone the real torture of penguins, obviously, but this is all in good fun.
Plus, I deeply admire the twisted mind that came up with Penguin Darts, wherein you fling the little penguins toward the dart board by strategically whacking them with snowballs. When they hit the mark, their little feet are still sticking out and wiggling around, and that's the kind of profoundly silly detail I appreciate in penguiny games.
The other offerings are Whack-a-Penguin and Chuck-a-Penguin, both of which also provide plenty of diversion.
