mary_j_59 is hosting the Final Word Drabble Challenge this week at her journal, so I urge you all to go over, check it out and participate if you'd like. All you need to do is write a drabble ending with the word of her choosing and then post it in the comments.
This week's word is shoes. I'm sure lots of things can be done with that prompt, especially given the fondness that some of us have for shoes. ;-)

In other news, I will post cake pic spam tomorrow, because I am tired and a bit drunk and can't be bothered to download the photos from the camera tonight. I had a lovely evening filled with good food and good wine, I raised a glass of blood red wine for a toast, my mother opened her gifts and the birthday cake was a big hit. I'm very pleased with the results, which ended up combining most of the more popular choices from the cake poll. Will say more about it tomorrow when I am less tired and more sober.
