Happy New Year! I didn't mean to make anybody teary; it was just that when I sat down to write this, it all came pouring out. I suppose on some level, I was nothing these things, and it was time for my conscious mind to catch up. ;-) It is good to reflect on one's privileges for a change.

And by the way: thank you for the fantastic card! I laughed and laughed when I read it, and I laughed more when I saw what you'd written. You weren't wrong about me! :D
