1. If you want a postcard from Azkatraz, comment to this screened post with your info TODAY. This is the last call, because I'm making a list to bring with me. I expect to check in online occasionally while I'm in SF, but that won't be often or very much, so now is the time to act.
2. Also directed at those who can't make it to Azkatraz: hpcon_envy is open for business, and the party has started! Check it out and tell your friends, if you haven't already. Things are just getting started, but the more people participate, the more fun there will be to be had. Go and make an offer of writing or drawing, or request a drabble or ficlet or drawble inspired by a prompt of your choosing, or read the lovely things that have already been posted and leave some reviews for the contributors. Make icons! Start something fun! Issue a challenge! It's already looking as though Severus, Lucius, Hermione and the ticky box are going to have a very... busy... week. ~smirks~
2a. Please note that any work you happen to be inspired to produce during the Azkatraz Envy fest is welcome to be submitted to OWL for archiving, since they have provided us with a special tag for that purpose! Those of you who are playing along for July's House Cup will surely recognize that this is an opportunity to raise some points for your house, especially if it's Slytherin.
3. Why do cats love suitcases so very much? I half suspect them of trying to stow away with me. I'm going to have to bring a lint roller with me, so that I'm not all covered in cat hair when I get to SF.
4. I have found the most excellent Slytherin green nail polish EVAH. Guess what I'm going to be wearing this weekend?
4a. So of course, after buying said nail polish and going for weeks with my nails growing out beautifully, I broke one last night. And then I broke another one. ~swears loudly, creatively and with feeling~
5. Need to be at the airport by 8 AM at the very latest, which means that I'm probably going to be up at 5:30ish... which means that by the time I go to the Pacific Time midnight showing of HBP tomorrow evening, I will have been up for close to 24 hours. Guys, elbow me if I start to snore, okay?
7. I AM SO EXCITED THAT I CANNOT STAND MYSELF. Nervous, yes, panicky, wibbly as hell... but really, really, really excited. :D I only wish you could all be there!
