Friday
Drinking at my house on the porch with some of Nic's friends (I have the best porch ever for lazy drinking), then walked to the jazz fest. I had bought a six pack of Leinenkugel Berry Weis, and it's delicious!
Saturday
Breakfast at Ruby's with the Flanagans and my slightly tardy and slightly hung over sis, then to jazz fest with the Flanagans. Fair food and jazz. Went home and wallowed under the AC for a bit, Kat and her folks stopped by for a moment, made potato salad, and went to my cousin's house for grilled pizza and hanging out with the fam before my sis heads to Alaska.
Sunday
Early breakfast at Ruby's with Kat and her fam, my boy, and the Flanagans. Went to Target with Nic to buy socks (for him) and cat food (for my beast). Went to Sprouts with Kat and Kim, then to Lou's for a little light day drinking. Two beers turned into three beers when we ran into Nugget, and three beers turned into way too many when we made friends with 3 biker parents in town to scope out UNT for their daughter + 1 random Halliburton employee who happened to know by pure coincidence people I know as well. After sobering up, I went home and spent some quality time feeling sorry for myself and wallowing around under the AC with a wet rag on my severely sunburned shoulders (yes, I was wearing sun block even!), then to Jazz Fest for one last time with Nic and his dog. Then he put aloe on my shoulders and went for a bike ride, while I wallowed around some more and fell asleep comically early because I couldn't read or do anything comfortably.
Monday
At work, forgot to bring my bagel to work for breakfast. Boo.
