"Tea... we're having a picnic while the world comes to an end-- very British." -from Dr. Who-
Damn.
Following random bloggers' blurbs & Tweets can be dangerous.
I read briefly about the new "Dr. Who" film coming out next month, and of course my interest in the newer "Dr. Who" series was renewed. Man, the original "Dr. Who" was a bit beyond me (and before I was a sparkle in my mom's eye), but Tom Baker was my damned hero when I was a child! Never mind that I couldn't understand some of the things that were going on... it was British, and therefore good. Well, at least that's the impression that I got from my mom. It was all BBC and public television for me, during the formative years, pretty much. Good Gawd, I miss '"Fawlty Towers." I hated "Good Neighbors." Anyway.
Thanks to the magic of Netflix, I skipped Season One because I knew that The Doctor had been regenerated into someone else, for the next three seasons, and zipped right into Season Two.... Hellfire, I am now a complete "Dr. Who" junkie. Aughh! Like I needed more TV to watch. Pfft. I'm totally laying this one on Southern Brit. Well, in a very good way. *beams brightly*
I must say, though... I am so very, very sad that David Tennant is officially done; he is spectacular as The Doctor (even though he's truly a Scot, Great Scot!).
He's now also a new candidate for my Mammal of Approval list. I don't know why I think he's so attractive; I just do.
Doo dee doo. OK, I need to go to bed. I have to clean, tomorrow morning. Slowly but surely, I must get this hovel up to snuff in 9 days. My Good Auntie & Good Uncle are coming down next Saturday & staying over for Easter Sunday. *gasp of horror* Holy crap, I have to clean. No dust, no dog hair, no crackly unidentifiable things in the toaster's slats... Hannah and her snapped garter, I'm in deep doodie.
Cheers & All
**In totally unrelated anything, I love Wayne Static's hair. I'm listening to various music in celebration of 7 years of saying "Goodbye." I forgot how much he loved Static-X until I heard it again, and remember it being played so much. We got to see them once.
They're coming to town 13 May... maybe I'll go.
Cheers & All
