Conspicuous consumption... or just being my regular collector self
This figure is fucking cool... and it'll be available at my quasi-local comic shop tomorrow, for almost half the price. It's like the Grimrock Evangelion figures all over again.
You see, this is why I love Diamond Comics Distributors. Well, that and the reissue of various FFVII statues, especially the one of the Highwind (damn betcha' we preordered that sucker practically the moment we found out about it!).
Life in the rat race is the usual, but I did find a nearly-complete New York Times on the train ride in this morning... an event that's truly rare these days. The sports section notwithstanding, I must've read at least half of the articles, editorials, letters, and columns in today's Times, all rather interesting (well, save for the review of Ari Fleischer's book, which was only marginally interesting). I really must get a subscription one of these days-- printed newspapers make for a far better reading experience than seeing the same stuff online.
