Training starts today!

M&S convinced me to try for the half marathon with them (maybe even the full marathon!).  Training starts today with an 8 week "conditioning" period that gets me ramped up to start the full training for the marathon.  The conditioning isn't bad at all.  the first week starts out with 5 second running intervals, and it goes up from there.
Week 1 (walkers will walk only, runners will run for 5 seconds/walk for 55 seconds on the run/walk days)
Mon: 10 min run/walk
Tues: 15 min walk
Wed: 13 min run/walk
Thurs: 18 min walk
Fri: off
Sat: 1 mile run/walk
Sun: off/walk

i am totally stoked about this whole idea.  i used to LOVE running - i ran cross country track in junior high for goodness sake!  and having the girls to push me along and keep me into it makes the whole thing seem so much more attainable.
