...sigh.

Saw Dr. Z. He told me to see Dr. S the neurologist and see if there's anything he can do to help, because Dr. Z doesn't know how much more he can do for me. He did prescribe me a few doses of dilaudid to get me through if it gets super-bad and I need to avoid the ER, and I'm trying biofeedback tomorrow in hopes that does something (I'm dubious but desperate), but yeah, this is frustrating.

Then I called Dr. S but he's on vacation through 11/4, so I left his assistant a message and we'll see when she gets back to me. I don't know if it's the changing weather that's killing my head but something's gotta give, I can't live like this. I took a dose of the dilaudid to try and finally break the fucking migraine and it's the first time in almost a week my head hasn't hurt, but good grief, it should not take narcotics this strong to knock it out. (edit: have appt with Dr. S on 11/14, 3pm.)

In other news, Morgan's new phone arrived--he's upgrading from his old non-smartphone (and currently barely working phone) to an iPhone 5S and the phone arrived today, so either tonight or tomorrow we will take it to the mall and have the Verizon people activate it and transfer his contacts and things. I have warned him that this is one piece of technology with which I can't really help him as I have a Windows phone (which I actually love, for the record, more than I ever did my Droid) so he's on his own if it gives him problems. But he's intelligent and we use Macs in this household so I think he'll be all right. And Verizon has this "Tech Coach" service that he can use in a pinch because it comes with insurance on the phone, and I insisted he get insurance on the phone. I am not risking having to spend almost $700 if the phone goes kaput. I have insurance on my phone, too, and I put insurance on my dad's phone when he upgraded to the iPhone as well.

In other other news, the US is actually getting "Day of the Doctor" in theatres! You can find details about locations here; there's another link with more theaters that I can't get to load, but if you go to the map and input your location and click on the TARDIS it gives you, you should be able to get it. Tickets go on sale at 9am EST tomorrow, which means that I have to be on my computer at 6am to try and buy them since Morgan will be on his way to work at that point.

Also my new boots should arrive today. I bought myself a pair of blue Uggs because my brown ones are getting battered and I live in these things all winter long so I thought variety would be nice. Yes, I am well aware how unstylish Uggs are, and you know, I really don't care. They are possibly the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn and they keep my feet warm without the need for annoying socks. I am not a big fan of socks. Including the blue ones which will be arriving today, I have four pair of Ugg shoes--classic short boots in brown and blue, a pair of slippers that I live in when it gets too cold to walk around the house barefoot, and a pair of black leather boots that do require socks but look pretty awesome and I got for 40% off. I'd be living in those right now except I can't seem to find them, and I'm missing half my socks anyway so I'd need something to wear them with anyway. I do want to find them, though, I really like them.

Did I mention my head doesn't hurt for the first time in almost a week? I could cry.
