earbuds update
For all of you who care:
I went to the Apple Store, found an unoccupied person--he finished with one person, turned around, and I said "Hi! Help, please?" He asked me what kind of music I listened to, at which point I felt ashamed of my plebian taste, but whatever, and explained my price range, and he gave me two pair of earbuds, Bose and Klipsch, but the Bose were just outside my price range so I got the Klipsch.
I'm using them now, and early tests indicate that they're a) really comfortable and b) isolate sound really well; poor Morgan has tried to get my attention several times without realizing I had my headphones on and I think he almost resorted to signal flares. Or throwing things at me, take your pick.
They're stereo sound, which I'm not used to anymore since my speakers aren't as clear about it and my older earbuds weren't stereo, I think. So that's a bit of adjustment, but it's okay.
Overall, I like them a lot.
I also (of course) stopped in Sephora (I'm now on a Sephora moratorium until, mm, July; if you see me talking about something from there before then, smack me) and picked up a couple things. Really only a couple; I got a facial exfoliator, as I have some dry, flaky patches, and a Tarte tinted lip balm. Going on the idea that most tinted lip balms I've tried are fairly light in pigment, I got the Monday, which is a sheer bright red.
Um. This actually has some color to it. It looks good on me, but it's brighter than I expected. But I like it, and it feels very moisturizing, so I'll keep it. When I can buy from Sephora again I may pick up another color or two, but it's not high on my list.
And now I am home and my head hurts, but I'll live. I've taken another dose of Excedrin and am waiting for that to kick in; if it doesn't soon I may go lie down for an hour.
