Today is Wednesday, Oct 10th 2007….

I am sitting @ a hotel room right of I-12 at Airline Hwy in Baton Rouge..

Why you ask?

Because i am staying with my grandmother and mother. They are in town to go with me to New Orleans to take care of getting my Certificate of Citizenship from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service, or USCIS.
I have been working on this paperwork over a year to get to this point. I was born an American citizen in 1986 to one U.S. father and one foreign national mother. My mother was naturalized as an American in 1996 therefore sealing my fate as forever an American. I had a passport in 2000 that expired in 2005. In applying for a passport, many of the original forms and paperwork i have from 1986 isn’t to spec for what USCIS wants, especially after September 11th. Today I have to bring my mother with me to New Orleans with all of her paperwork to show that she is my mother and is a US citizen.
In other news, work has been uneventful. Our call volume has been a little low compared to weeks previous. Thanks to this low volume my overtime yesterday was released and i only worked 7a to 5p, even got my full hour lunch. I really would like to keep my O/T, i am trying to put money back in my savings account so i have a little coushin. Today is payday; most of this check is going for to few bills that i let languish and go terribly far behind. By the end of the year i look to be caught up, and when income tax return comes, have money in savings, and also cut my expenses.
Off to New Orleans… more when i get back this evening……
