Customer> Its not going to be a pleasure Alan, Alan i am highley upset with AT&T. I just paid my bill to get my internet service back on, i know i was 2 months behind but its taken care of. I was told it may take 3 to 5 days to be restored. I can't wait that long. I want you to turn it on NOW!
*pause*
Lets take a look at this persons situation.
- Their Internet service is off.
- Their bill was 2 months behind.
- It was their descion not to call and tell me (AT&T) why there were no payments being made.
Now, something about my job, we advise customer in written notices and phone calls about balances on account after a due date. The notices give a telephone number or a website a customer can visit to make an arragement to pay thier bill. An arrangement is an agreed time that payment will be made to avoid service interuption. If i have no notice i dunno if you are just skipping out on a bill or not so in most cases services will be interrupted for non-payment. Making said arrangements keeps service active as long as the agreements are upheld.

Me> Well Ma'am, i do apoligize, howevver due to the technical requirments to turn your ADSL service back on the timeframe cannot be expidited.
Customer> This is rediculous, you mean to tell me you can't just flip a switch somewhere?! I have never dealt with such an incompetent group of people in my life. I want your supervisor, get me a manager, some one higher up than you Alan.
Now...... What gets me so upset with these people is the level of arrogance they have, Its not my fault you didn't pay the bill. Its understandable that things happen in life; we each have this that go on, so does everyone else here. We are all people; all we ask is for a few minutes of your time just so we have on record what is going to take place.
I dealt with said people numerous time throughout the day. Each person had there own lil case of special treatment because ther bill wasn't paid and its my fault ther were billed a reconnect fee, had to pay a desposit, or have to wait for things to be setup/connected up again. I try and emphisize each time i am on the phone with people if you need extra time, call ahead or when you know/find out there will be a delay. I just wish i knew if people actually listened.
Tuesday's finished, 3 more days to go...
