don't stand so close to me
I only have TWO MONTHS left in Peru. Wow. And Laura leaves in TWO WEEKS. I'm gonna miss her so much. I'm throwing her a surprise goodbye party, and people have to dress up as something that La likes, something that reminds them of her, or something that is special for them and La. for instance, Adrienne and I are dressing up as Romy and Michelle from Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion, because we love that movie and we introduced it to La and now we watch it together with her. I'm gonna print out pics of Snoopy cuz she looks like Snoopy and put those around...I'm also making her a LOST collage and Audda darling is making a banner thingymabob w/ La and Gerard Butler. I'm cooking dinner for everyone who comes, Laura's favorite, lomo saltado.
Thursday night I went to this flippin cool South Afrikan embassy event. We know the ambassador. His son, who is 23, is visiting for a few months learning Spanish. he's very nice and quite handsome. I was drinking at the party and church people were there and were all "Oh you're drinking." and I was all "Yea, I'm legal in Peru now TAKE THAT." minuse the 'take that' part. gahh then today the same lady was like "We have a legalized drinker here now, we saw her out getting drunk." Pfft, I've been drinking for years and I've also never been drunk cuz I can hold my liquor like no one's business.
then on Friday night I was at Starbucks with Laura, and Jorge was getting off work and he smiled at me. It was very exciting. Then yesterday before YG I walked up to Starbucks by myself. Jorge was working the cashier and took my order, an alto caramel macchiato. Well then I paid and stood where you wait for your drink and I'd already seen him write my name on the cup, but he's over there doing something and he says, "Rebekah, it's a caramel macchiatto right?" and I said yea. so then the woman calls out my drink except it's a venti, the largest size. I took it back to Jorge and told him that I'd only ordered an alto and only paid 9 soles (the venti is like 11 or 12). He was just like "it's ok." and smiled at me...so I was like all nervous and said thanks and smiled and left. THen I got to YG and was like JORGE GAVE ME AN DOUBLE SIZED DRINK!
