Yippee. It's Friday.
Not exactly a high-energy night of the week, but still my favorite day of the week. The office tends to be pretty relaxed. And once I get out the door, there's the whole weekend available for whatever sounds good or needs to be done. This just seemed to be an inordinately long week. I checked. It still has seven days like all the others, but seemed to be operating on Saturn Standard Time.
I'm skimming a Work In Progress short story, hoping to add to it. I hate dropping my train of thought in the middle of something. I jotted notes, but now I have to try to get back into the flow of the story. It's about half expendable backstory right now, but the final version will materialize eventually. The College literary magazine is accepting submissions; I'm going to look for something to submit. Hopefully it will yield a much-needed morale boost.
