Okay, Daph, why in God's name would anyone as gorgeous, talented, and intelligent as you are hate yourself and want to die? And what's with the Unattractive C-Face name on your journal page?

Most of the people you know would LOVE to be you. You've got a mom who loves you and has made a lot of sacrifices for you. As I mentioned before, you are beautiful, talented, and intelligent. The whole universe does not fall into those categories. Why not try to develop your spiritual side a bit? Maybe God has some great things in store for you if you will take an honest look at yourself and see what you have going for yourself. Oh yeh, you are right that you and your sister need to get closer and share more. I think you have lots to give one another.

Wow, you are so right to object to this type of treatment and "intervention" from your friends. I would call it "interference" rather than "intervention." An intervention occurs when someone is really on the wrong track in life and is doing something that will harm herself. The manner in which you and Dan conduct yourselves in public is tasteful, mature, and appropriate. Don't let others shake your faith in one another and all that you have together. Tell them to butt the hell out!
