Grrr
Things that people need to learn are not my problem:
1) Tax codes. HMRC write and tell me what tax code to use. I cannot randomly change tax codes to something more appealing. I know you're paying too much tax, but there is NOTHING I CAN DO. I have called HMRC, who have reiterated there is NOTHING I can do. Please stop coming to me complaining, and fix it yourself like I told you to a week ago.
2) Incorrect timesheets. I am nobody's mother, thank God, and so if timesheets do not have the right numbers on them, I am not automatically going to know. Nor am I likely to track people down on the off chance that their sheets may or may not be wrong. If you have put the wrong number down, it is your own goddamn fault.
And work has given me a cold.
