Great story! But Uhura and McCoy? Kinda ew...
No love for McCoy? For McCoy/Uhura? Sniffsniff.
Y'know, he'd be a lot less grouchy if he got laid more often. But that could be said of so many characters. The only cheerful one is Kirk, who only has to worry about alien STDs, and Scotty who regularly bangs his own ship. Everyone else is a sexually frustrated miserable fucker. Which is, strangely enough, exactly how fandom seems to like them.
Additionally, thinking of opening up our shiny new (in progress) Gaila community with an academic-ish essay on Gaila as a feminist icon. Anyone even remotely interested?
