A/N: wow… the ninth chapter already :D

I’m being abducted by some evil force.

What. The. Hell.

I struggled to get free, but the guy behind me tightened his hold. He leaned in, and a strange perfume wafted towards me. What kind of “tough guy” wears lavender?

“Don’t move. It’s useless,” he whispered. “And I’m not going torture you or anything, you’re just gonna have a nice chat with a boss of mine. So don’t struggle.”

I consented by not moving anymore, and he proceeded to pull me away from where Sungmin and Kyu were waiting. Well, at least I would have an excuse to why I didn’t arrive in English class. And I could escape anytime really, he’s holding me a lot more delicately since he doesn’t know I’m actually a guy. I wonder where he’s taking me… I blabbered inside my head.

We were now in the cool, silent woods that were right next to the campus, place lots of people go to for meetings or just to study in privacy. Me, I’ve never entered here before now, so I was beginning to worry why he was taking me here. But just as soon as we entered, we emerged out of the woods into the sunlight again.

Right in front of the girls’ dorms.

“Whoa….. I didn’t know there was a shortcut! Dang, I could’ve used this way, it would’ve been so much faster than crossing the entire campus…” I muttered to myself. Then realization finally hit me.

Hey… Mr. Kidnapper is gone. I scanned the area suspiciously. Where did he go?? Man, he appears and disappears out of nowhere… but why am I even here?

“Hey, Eunhyuk.”

I spun around and was face to face with Hyoyeon.

* * *
I sipped my strawberry milk quietly as Hyoyeon continued to stare at me. I stopped sipping for a moment. “Stop staring at me. Can’t you let a person drink her strawberry milk in peace?”

She sighed. “So you agree or not?”

I frowned and put down my drink. “About what?”

“Oh my goodness…” Hyoyeon said exasperatedly. She sat up straighter and leaned towards me. “Didn’t you get a single thing I said to you?”

“… No?”

“Aish… I can’t believe this,” Hyoyeon rolled her eyes. She frowned. “Fine, maybe I gave out too many details and made you confused. So I’ll tell you everything again, but will make it simpler, ok?” She looked at me carefully.

“Go ahead,” I said, continuing to drink my milk.

Hyoyeon nodded. “First, you have to know that everything I’m going to tell you should be kept secret.”

I frowned. “Why?”

“Well… fine, as long as what I tell you doesn’t fall to the wrong ears, then it’s ok. You get by what I meant by ‘wrong ears’, right?”

I nodded slowly.

Hyoyeon smiled. “Good. Then listen closely, ok?”

I sipped my drink. “Go on.”

Hyoyeon took a deep breath. “One: Jessica hates you.”

I stopped drinking my milk. “Why?”

“Cause she’s jealous.”

“. . . . . If she wanted me to help her with dancing, I’ll always be glad to help her, you know.”

“No, no, she’s not jealous of your dancing, ok? She’s jealous cause you act all close with Donghae oppa and vice versa. Get it?”

“If she wanted Donghae to annoy her to death, I’ll be glad to let her switch with me.”

“Aish, no!” Hyoyeon flipped her hair. “See, you don’t even call Donghae ‘oppa’. She’s jealous cause of your… close friendship.”

I smirked. “I wouldn’t call our relationship a ‘friendship’.”

She rolled her eyes. “Whatever. So there, I’ve told you everything I know.”

“Well, that’s a lot of important stuff to say that you had to kidnap me and everything,” I muttered.

“Yah, I heard that,” Hyoyeon glared. “And just so you know, he’s not some random guy I hired to kidnap you, he’s my personal assistant, right-hand man, whatever you call it.”

“But why are you telling me this?” I asked, curious. “And how would I know you’re not making this up?”

“Isn’t it obvious?” Hyoyeon raised her eyebrow. “I don’t like her. When she joined our group in high school… well, we didn’t exactly get along like best buddies, ok? And I’ve seen her act like a jerk to a bunch of people, so I thought maybe there might be something good in telling you. And really, all of this is NOT made up.”

“So you’re saying you like me?” I grinned.

She returned my smile. “Yeah. So now, I’m asking you this again: You want to be my partner?”

“For what?”

“We make a deal: I join your side, and we go against Jessica and help you avoid whatever evil stuff Sica does to you. And you, all you have to do is choose me to be on the dance team.”

* * *
After three hours of doing endless homework (my punishment for “ditching” English class, as Minnie calls it), I was finally able to take a break. As I leaned back in my chair, Jessica came in, smiling.

“Hey. Welcome back,” I greeted her. She smiled at me. “Hi, Eunhyuk.” I sat in deep thought as she began rummaging in her closet for clothes to change in.

Her acting is really great, I thought. I’ll just have to trust Hyoyeon and be more careful around her. By what she had told me, girls have crazy reasons why they’re jealous. And do crazy things when they’re jealous.

“Hey Eunhyuk, have you seen the white T-shirt I was wearing yesterday?” Jessica called out, her head still inside the closet.

“Hmm? Oh, I haven’t,” I replied. I stood up and stretched. “I think I’ll just go for a walk, my eyes are sore from homework.”

“Ok, have fun,” Jessica answered, not really paying attention.

I walked out into the cold, breezy air. As I strolled, with no particular destination in mind, I began to sort out my thoughts.

Hyoyeon wants me to choose her for the dance team. I guess I’ll ask the dance teacher if I can personally pick people for the team, so that’s taken care of. Then there’s Jessica. Well, she’s not really a problem, but I should go tell this sometime to Sungmin and Kyu. They’ll know what to do. And there’s Donghae…

My phone suddenly rang. Stopping, I stuck my hand in my pocket and answered the call. “Hello, this is Eunhyuk.”

“HYUUUUUUUKKIE!!!”

I jumped at the sound. “Yah, you idiot! Are you trying to make me go deaf, Donghae?! And how the heck did you get my phone number???”

“WHAT? I CAN’T HEAR YOU!” And indeed, I could hear sounds of partying and people shouting.

I sighed. “Um, sorry, but I’m busy right now. Bye.”

“NOOOO, WAIT HYUKKIE!!!”

I snapped my phone shut and started walking again. Geez, just at the mention of him and he immediately pops up. Scary… My phone rang again. I picked it up, still walking.

“Hello, this is Eunhyuk,” I answered cautiously, the phone a good distance away from me.

“Hyuuuuuuuukie, what happened to your voice? Oh, sorry about last time, hyung and I were having a party,” Donghae said. I could practically imagine the fishy grin he was having on his face.

“Ok, have fun,” I said, bored.

“Aish, are you still angry about that, Hyukkie?” Donghae whined. “I was going to invite you, but then maybe you weren’t the partying type.”

“Thanks for considering me,” I replied sarcastically. “By the way, how did you get my number?”

“I have my ways,” Donghae said mysteriously. I rolled my eyes.

“I’m going to hang up now, it seems you’re going to waste my money talking about nonsense.”

“Ok! Bye, Hyukkie!!” The end of the other line clicked. I chuckled and turned towards the opposite direction to walk back to the dorms.

And realized that I was lost.

“Aish, where the heck am I?” I muttered. I glanced back and forth. Unfamiliar trees and shadows surrounded me. A clock tower was the only building in the distance that I saw.

Great. I’m lost. This is so pathetic, I thought angrily. And at that exact moment, my phone rang.

“Hello.”

“Hyuuuuuukkie! I called again cause I wanted to say goodnight!” Donghae said happily. “Make sure you dream sweet things about me tonight, baby.”

“. . .”

“Hyukkie?”

“Do you know that you are one stupid idiot?”

“Hahaha, don’t be silly Hyukkie, why are you so cold?” Donghae joked.

“DUDE, YOU GOT ME LOST AND NOW I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE I AM!!” I shouted angrily.

“Oh, my baby is lost?” Donghae asked innocently. “But why would I have anything to do with this?”

“I was walking, and you, with your annoying voice, called and distracted me.”

“So you got lost listening to my voice?”

“Don’t be so stuck up, Donghae, your voice isn’t that amazing to listen to.”

Donghae pretended to sniff as if he was crying. “No matter how hard I try, my Hyukkie doesn’t seem to like me at all. Oh well, I’ll try better next time. Goodnight, Hyukkie.”

“Fine, bye - YAH, WHERE DO YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING?! Are you just going to leave me here?!”

“Well, I think have better things to do. See ya.”

I dropped my jaw as I heard him hang up on the other side. Oh, great job, Hyuk, you’re lost and freezing out here. You really failed. Just then, my head thought of a great idea. Yeah, I should call Minnie, what are friends for? I quickly dialed Sungmin’s number and waited for him to answer.

“Hello! This is Lee Sungmin! Right now, I’m really busy, so please call again later, ok? Thanks!”

Geez, he’d better not be doing what I think he’s doing… I frowned and dialed Kyuhyun’s number.

“What Hyukjae?? You interrupted my make out session with Minnie.” Kyu sounded irritated.

“I don’t want to know about your personal life, Kyu.” I decided not to mention that I was lost. “Ok, so there’s this clock tower in our campus. Um, how do you get from there to the dorms?” I asked.

“Yah, Kyu, hurry up!” I heard Minnie call.

“Just a moment, Minnie. Hyung, there’s something called a map, ok? Use it,” Kyu answered. “Bye.”

“Wait, but where’s the map??” Click. I groaned.

I looked at my contacts list and debated on who to call. Eh… should I call Yesung hyung or Ryeowook? Just as I was about to press Yesung’s name, a message flashed on my screen.

No more battery!

Then it died.

I did a face palm and groaned, then glanced at the area around me. I sighed and began walking. Let’s just hope that I have a really good sense of direction.

* * *
Somehow, I managed to stay in the same area I was in, even though I had walked continuously. Well, it’s not that hard to do. All you do is walk in circles. I sighed and sat down on the ground, thinking it was useless. If I ever find my way back again, I’m going to find a map and learn the way around the school, so well that I could close my eyes and find my way, I thought.

“Hyukkie!!!! Is that you?” a voice yelled behind me. I turned and saw Donghae grin his stupid fishy smile and running towards me.

“Wait, you were looking for me?” I asked, surprised. I stood up as Donghae stopped in front of me.

“Well, since maybe it was kinda my fault, I decided to look for you and see if you fainted somewhere,” Donghae scratched his head.

“Yeah. Thanks,” I smiled.

Donghae shrugged. “Just so you know, you owe me one,” he said, acting all cool.

I smirked. “Whatever.”

We began walking back to the dorms. Well, it was more like I followed Donghae to wherever he was walking to. I became curious. “Hey, how did you find me?”

“Huh? Oh, it was easy. All I did was think, ‘If I was Eunhyuk and I happened to have gotten lost, where would I go?’ And then I found you. The end.”

“If it was that easy, I would have been able to get back already,” I said.

“Oh yeah? And I would stay out the whole night, looking for you?” Donghae asked. “You’re one cocky kid with no appreciation at all, huh? You didn’t even answer your phone.” We were near the dorms now.

“My phone ran out of battery,” I told him.

“I see.” He didn’t say anything else.

“Hey, if you’re doubting me, I could take out my phone and prove it to you,” I said slowly. I began to take out my phone, but then he stopped and looked at me.

“No, it’s just that I want you to call me whenever you need help,” Donghae said seriously. “If you’ve got a problem, call me, ok?”

“Sure. Lee Donghae will be the first person I call.”

“Good. Hey, I didn’t get your phone number for nothing, you know,” he said playfully.

“Yeah, yeah, yeah, tell me all about how you found out my number,” I rolled my eyes.

He laughed and told me. I didn’t pay that much attention to him, though. I think he said something about how he snuck into the office and looked through the records or something and hid from the secretary and other stuff.

When we arrived at the girls’ dorms - Donghae thought he should just walk me all the way just in case I decided to get lost again - a figure was waiting at the entrance.

“Thanks for today, you,” I grinned. “Go home and sleep or do whatever you usually do.”

“Nah, hyung is still probably having his party, I’ll go back when he’s done. Hey, it looks like your friend is waiting for you.”

And indeed, Jessica was standing there waiting for us.

She smiled as we came nearer. “Yah, Eunhyuk! Where were you, it was getting late, I was starting to worry, and…” Then she saw Donghae. Jessica flashed a smile. “Donghae oppa! It’s nice to see you, we haven’t seen each other for a while.”

“Yeah, nice to see you again, Jessica,” Donghae replied.

Then maybe, I could’ve imagined it, but hate flickered in Jessica’s eyes. Like I said, maybe I was seeing things.

Maybe Hyoyeon was right after all.

A/N: I sat down and typed for three-four hours straight :D aren’t you proud of me?? LOL
Ok, just to let you know, I don’t hate SNSD or anything ok? It’s just that you need a cockblocker in a story… and Jessica kinda fits the role X] Taeyeon’s my bias, ok enough said…
