Title: Wrong Identity 3/?

Pairing: Haehyuk

Genre: fluff

Disclaimer: It is my regret and sorrow that I cannot own these funny, cute, HOT, and awesome boys.

Summary: Hyukjae is forced to find a new method to get into his college after being rejected. With the help of his friend, Sungmin (and an evil genius), he finally gets in - in a creative way.

My name’s Lee Donghae.

Let’s meet soon.

I wanna see how you dance.

WHAT?!!!

How in the world did he manage to write on a slip of paper without me seeing?!

I was staring (no, no it was observing) at him for every second of every minute and hour he was in here.

How could I not have seen him write this note?!

I face palmed. Another piece of evidence that he DID know I was in here. “Bad Hyukjae,” I muttered. I pocketed the note in my jeans and scooped up my backpack, removing any signs of my presence in this room. Satisfied when the room looked clean enough, I ran out of the door and into the quad area to find Minnie and Kyu. To tell them all about that dancer I saw.

The moment I saw them, I raced forward with a grin on my face. As Jessica and her friends walked past by, I suddenly remembered something. I stopped abruptly.

I was supposed to be friends with Jessica. Not Minnie. Not Kyu. JESSICA.

I groaned and then followed in the direction that she and her friends had been walking in. I saw her long, wavy hair in the front and tried to keep up with her, but the crowd kept us separated. Giving up, I decided to sit at a table and wait for the crowd to disappear, keeping my eyes on Jessica at all times. I was so focused on not losing her that I did not notice someone walking up behind me.

“Hi, Eunhyuk-sshi.” I looked up for a moment and saw Siwon smiling at me. “Hey. Did you eat yet?” What a great question to ask. You could’ve said something like, “Did you have a good night’s rest?” I looked back at Jessica and tried to find her again, but she was gone. I sighed.

“Nope. What about you?” He sat down and dropped his backpack to the floor. I shook my head. “Want me to get something?”

“Sure. I’ll pay half.” I stood up and walked to the cafeteria line. Later, I came back with two sandwiches, a carton of strawberry milk, and a bottle of water.

“I didn’t know what you would want to drink, so I just got you water. It was the cheapest one anyways.” Siwon smiled and thanked me, and we ate our sandwiches in awkward silence.

Siwon cleared his throat. “Is Sungmin hyung going to meet us?”

“No. He and Kyuhyun are eating somewhere else, I guess.” Hearing about them made me lonely, so I decided to forget about it.

“Hey, I noticed something. When standing next to the girls, you’re the tallest out of them.” I raised my eyebrow.

“Really?”

“Yeah. And even with some guys, you’re taller than them too.” I choked on my strawberry milk. Oh shoot. My height was a very big problem.

“Well, I guess I don’t have to wear high heels if I’m that tall,” I said. Siwon chuckled.

“I guess you’re right. What’s your next class?”

I choked on my strawberry milk again. I almost forgot about my schedule. When Donghae had said class was canceled, I immediately forgot about the other classes. “I have science at one. You?”

“Drama. It’s actually right across from your classroom. Let’s go.”

We finished our lunch and began walking to our classes. When we arrived, it was still pretty early, so we just sat down under a random tree and talked about useless things. Finally, it was five minutes to one, so we said goodbye and returned to our classrooms.

As I got in, it was… chaos. Colorful liquids stained the floor, the desks, and even some windows. A guy’s hair was smoking. People were running around, yelling or just making unnecessary noise and mess. I decided not to get involved and sat in a corner in the back, observing the mess before me.

“They were trying to build a volcano,” a voice next to me said.

I looked up and saw a kid with glasses staring at the scene, amused. Another guy sat next to him, silent.

“It looks… interesting,” I said, unsure that the giant lump on a desk in the center was supposedly the “volcano”.

“It was more like a juice fountain,” said the boy next to the kid with glasses, looking thoughtful.

“Yeah, I think it was a juice fountain too, Sungie hyung,” said the kid with glasses. He looked at me and smiled. “I’m Ryeowook. This guy is Yesung hyung. We’re sharing a dorm.” The guy named Yesung nodded at me.

“I’m Eunhyuk,” I said, smiling my gummy smile. Ryeowook grinned and pointed at me to Yesung.

“Ah, this noona is so cute, Sungie! Did you see her smile?”

“Yeah.” He looked at me. “You’re cute.” I blushed.

Just then, the teacher entered the room. While she was scolding the whole class about classroom procedures, Ryeowook tugged on my sleeve.

“Let’s sit together, noona,” he whispered, motioning to an empty desk where Yesung was already sitting.

During the whole class, we introduced ourselves to each other. Ryeowook is actually my dongsaeng (who knows how he knows I was his noona), as well as Yesung hyung’s (no, I have to call him oppa). Ryeowook and Yesung like singing, and they are taking the same class together. Ryeowook is good at the piano. Yesung likes… turtles.

“Eunhyuk noona, how’s your day so far?” Ryeowook asked as we were studying microorganisms under a microscope.

“Good,” I said, taking notes. I suddenly remembered the dancing boy I saw in the studio. Should I tell them about him? It seemed ok, and besides, they were my friends. So I told them about him.

Ryeowook looked thoughtful. “Are you sure he knew you were in there?”

“Yeah. He even left me a note. Why should he have left it if there was no one in there?”

“Do you think it’s the Donghae we know, Wookie?” Yesung asked. Ryeowook’s eyes widen.

“Yeah, it could be!” He looked at me. “We know a Donghae, too, and he’s also good at dancing.”

I was excited. “Really? Do you think you can introduce me to him?”

“Sure!” Ryeowook beamed.

Yes! I am going to meet him! I giggled to myself. Wait, since when do I giggle? And over a guy?! I shuddered. This girl thing was getting to me.

Yesung nudged me. “So, why were you hiding in the closet anyways? You could’ve stepped out and meet him.”

I turned red. “Um, long story.”

Ryeowook looked at me curiously.

After class, we walked over to the cafeteria to get some snacks. By luck, I saw Minnie and Kyu standing by the candy bar. I nudged Ryeowook.

“Can I go meet my friends? They’re over there,” I said, pointing Kyumin to Yewook.

“Sure, noona. I want to meet them too,” Ryeowook said.

As we got closer, I ran, leaving Ryeowook and Yesung hyung behind a little, and jumped on Minnie. “HI MINNIE!! Hello, Kyu.”

Minnie turned around, looking surprised. “Hey, Hyuk. How’s your classes so far?”

“They were fun,” I said. I glanced at the brat.

Kyu grinned. “Hi, noona. And by the way, you’re on my boyfriend. Please act more like a girl.”

“Oh, oops.” I got off my best friend. “Sorry.”

“Nothing to worry about, Hyuk,” Minnie smiled, raising his eyebrow at the now possessive Kyu who’s hugging him.

Ryeowook came up behind me. “Hello, hyung. My name’s Ryeowook.” He smiled cutely, making Minnie let go of Kyu and pinching Ryeowook’s cheeks. Kyu stood to the side, looking very jealous.

“My name’s Minnie! It’s actually Sungmin, but you can call me Minnie!”

“Yes, Minnie hyung.”

“Aigoo, you’re really cute.”

“Ahem. My name is Kim Jongwoon. Call me Yesung.”

“It’s nice to meet you, Yesung hyung!”

“My name is Cho Kyuhyun. Sungmin’s boyfriend and this noona’s friend. It’s nice to meet you.”

“Nice to meet you, Kyuhyun.” Awkward silence.

I cleared my throat. “Um, Minnie, did you have fun in your classes?” I asked, smiling nervously.

Minnie nodded and looked at Ryeowook and Yesung. “Please excuse me and Hyuk. Uh, we need a… private discussion.” They nodded and Minnie pulled me away, Kyu looking suspiciously at us.

Minnie took me to a corner. “Yah! Lee Hyukjae! Whatever happened with Jessica? And our plan?!” Minnie hissed.

I shrugged. “I went out early this morning to practice dancing and forgot about her. Then I saw her when coming back, but lost her in the crowd when Siwonnie was talking to me. That’s it.” I suddenly felt guilty.

Minnie sighed. “For some reason, you seem to attract guys, huh?”

“Hey, I’m a girl. Maybe it’s because they think I’m cute,” I defended. But when hearing Minnie’s words, I suddenly remembered something.

“Hey, Minnie. Guess who I saw this morning?” I told him all about the dancer in the studio.

Minnie frowned. “Even if you did meet him face to face, you shouldn’t be telling me this! You’re supposed to act like a cute girl and make girl friends!” He scolded me, then after making me promise that I will definitely make friends with Jessica, we went back to our friends who were waiting. We ate together had a great time, talking together about funny incidents, sharing and making memories at the same time.

That night, I crawled upstairs to my dorm and found Jessica reading another book. She smiled warmly at me. “Hi, Eunhyuk!”

“Hi, Jessica. Um, sorry about today. I woke up early and couldn’t sleep, so I went to the dance studio to practice. I forgot to tell you, not even writing a note. Really sorry.”

“It’s ok, Eunhyuk.” I saw her face twitch so slightly. Was it just my imagination or was it because I was simply too tired?

I went to the bathroom to wash up, then plopped back on my bed. I saw her lying too, back faced to me. “Goodnight, Jessica.”

She didn’t reply.

* * *

Exactly at 6:04 am, I woke up, not being able to fall asleep again. Today, I don’t have any classes, so I might as well sleep in. I closed my eyes again, not fully awake yet. A nagging thought sat in the back of my head.

DONGHAE!!!

I’m supposed to meet him today!

I shoot up, took a shower, brushed my teeth, and put on my clothes, makeup, and wig all in record time. I dashed out the dorm, completely forgetting about Jessica again.

After getting lost (in my hurry to the studio, I accidentally took a wrong turn and ended up in the opposite direction of the studio), I arrived at the front of the door, completely exhausted. I poked my key in and opened the door.

A guy sat on the floor, back facing me.

I stopped short. What if he sees me? Of course he’s supposed to see you. He told you to meet him today. Idiot.

I took a step closer.

This guy isn’t Donghae. He’s bigger. And chubbier.

Before I knew it, he saw me and we were introducing ourselves and shaking hands. And after an hour of chatting with him and dancing, Shindong left to go eat and I was alone again. I sighed.

I didn’t meet Dancing Guy today. But hey, I made another friend.

I danced for a while but got bored, so I decided to go out and meet with Jessica. After all, I was the one who had let her down yesterday, so I can’t go ditching her again.

I walked around the campus, looking for my roommate. After some searching, I spotted her chatting with some friends at a table. Now that I think about it, I hadn’t seen her in bed this morning as I rushed out to meet Donghae. Did she wake up as early as me? I walked a little faster to the group of girls laughing. Ah, there are some guys too…

Jessica looked up as I got nearer. She smiled and nodded at me, making the others look at me too. I got nervous.

“Hi, Eunhyuk!” She beamed at me as I pulled up a chair.

“Hi, Jessi…” I stopped.

Lee Donghae was gazing at me.
