Snow Day
So KU miraculously closed today. Awesome. Josh called right after my alarm went off and said, "So you must be happy" and I'm like "huh?" because I had only been awake ten minutes, and nothing is ever happy about waking up, and then he said, "You don't have class today. They're announcing all the school closing and KU is one of them." Oh snap. What a wonderful way to wake up. Oh lovely.
So after that I did some responsible grown up things like homework for my online course and dishes because they were backed up. Then I went outside to head over to mi madre's because they didn't have school either, and had to spend twenty minutes shoveling a path for my car to get out. I thought about shoveling a path for Josh's Jeep for when he'd get home but...I spent twenty mintues clearing a 6x6 square in front of my car. And, note from the future, I messed up something in my shoulder because of it. Clearly I should not be allowed to perform any kind of semi-strenuous activities.
So, came back, knew Josh would be napping so he could stay up late tonight (switching to 3rd shift) so I just busied myself downstairs. Mom told me to ask Josh to take me to work, so I go upstairs around 5 and say sweetly, "Hey, it's almost 5:00, what time do you wanna get up?" *shrug* "Okay, you have to stay up late tonight, right?" *nod* "Would you be willing to take me to work?" *shake no, sleeeeeeep*
So I've got to venture out, in my Jetta, into weather that was bad enough for a University to close, because you want a longer nap. Wtf. All I can think about is the hill I go down with the sharp curve in it, where my friend Seth had an accident. So, while I should not be wasting time writing this, and in fact I should be leaving now, to make sure I have enough time to drive like an old person, I needed to vent my frustration.
Also, I totally forgot how fun GTA San Andreas is. Love it. :) Today was fun until the driving situation. I love snow days. :)
