...Wow.  I was feeling pretty good until I made these lists.  WAY too many things on the 2nd list.  :/  Some things there have to wait, but several I could have out of the way earlier.

Shoes...yeah.  I thought it'd be neat to have blue shoes (sapphire blue probably).  Would definitely be cool, but let me tell you how much it sucks to try to find blue shoes.  Granted, I want them to be comfortable, but jeez.  Mall didn't help.  Not sure what I'll do about this - may have to go with silver.  Really wanted the blue though.

No clue what to do about favors.  I really don't know why they're necessary anyway (ploy by trinket people??).  How many people REALLY want a set of coasters or picture frame with the bride & groom's name/date plastered on them?  Or any other trinket with that info?  I was thinking of using the cookies that'll be there as favors, but it'd be kinda tacky - my family members are going to bake them, so their favor would be cookies they (or relatives) baked...  the other idea was to buy oreos, dip them in white (or blue) chocolate, then put our initials on them.  Something edible that people can enjoy and don't have to stare at forever.  That's a lot of work to do near the end though.  Ugh, I dunno.  Can't really skip it since EVERYONE expects them.  :/

I didn't think it'd be that difficult to find pale/light blue tablecloths, but apparently I was wrong.  Very, very wrong.  The linen place the reception hall rents from has a wedgewood blue (which I'd be okay with), but the round tablecloths don't come in that color.  :(  I've been searching (in vain, it seems) for other places to rent them from, but all the places I've found either 1. don't have them or 2. are expensive to rent.  Yes, I could just go with white tablecloths...but the wedding colors are (supposed to be) BLUE, silver and black.  Due to a last minute switch, the bridesmaids aren't wearing blue anymore.  So the only blue is in the wedding rings, the goblets, maybe the cake (?), and that's it.  WHERE'S MY BLUE?  *sigh*  Right now it's mostly black & white, which is NOT what I wanted (white didn't even enter into the equation).  :(

I know I'm not the most creative person in the world, but I do have *some* creativity.  However, centerpieces?  Wow, am I beyond stuck.  Granted, I should look at some crafty stores and maybe get their suggestions, but still.  I don't want to use flowers in the centerpieces (unless they're fake, but I'd rather not have fake flowers).  Ideally, they'd involve candles - the reception hall requires that candles be in some form of container where the flame isn't higher than the top of said container.  The best I can come up with is maybe finding an oval or circle shaped bowl (on a little pedestal) - perhaps BLUE glass?  Then use the little gel ball things or glass (?) stones that are different colors of blues for the bottom of the bowl, fill it with water and put in a floating candle.  Keep in mind I'm going with a medieval theme (or trying to).  If anyone has ideas, please share.

Also, not easily coming up with Honeymoon ideas.  :/  Want to go somewhere neither of us has been (and not exclusively a beach...preferrably somewhere with lots to do and/or historical things, etc).

Arg.
