Happy to hear you and Tony are still together. You deserve it.

I heard through the charlie/grapevine about your engagement. Congrats!!

and good luck finding a new place! Don't let them take advantage of you for owning cats, that's lame. And shit, for $1000 a month you could own a house in 10 years.

Thanks! I'm glad you had a good time on your trip. :) Sounded like fun!

Yeah, the pet deposit per cat is definitely lame, though I dunno what else I could do about it... :( The pet rent isn't that surprising I spose - I've heard of other people having to pay that.

That's the determination we made...why RENT for $1350/month (when we're saving for a wedding anyway) - that's more than a house payment. Ridiculous.

Your apartment complex sounds almost as draconian as mine. We have a 500 dollar pet deposit, and 25 dollars per month per pet. This is why I do not have a pet. Also, might want to check the pet agreement for whether or not the cats have to be declawed. That's one of the provisions at my place, and another reason why I did not get a cat (as I would not have that done to a kitty).

Also, the whole 60 day notice thing is crap. It pisses me off that they're allowed to do that, especially since there is no provision that dictates when they have to deliver the update. My lease-period is up at the end of July, and least year I only got my updated lease offer in the middle / end of June. It's just a load of crap, and really kinda prohibits easy planning on the leasee's end. Of course, that's the entire goal of that particular stipulation, I think.

Ack! May, not June. It was not as awful as I originally wrote :-P

Ouch. Is it $500 pet deposit per pet or total? I figure it's still worth it to not have to deal with the hassle of Pine Ridge...plus, I'll save on taxes (Wickliffe, where I work, has a lower tax rate than Willoughby Hills, where Pine Ridge is - so I have to pay Willoughby Hills for taxes too...at the other apartment place it's Willoughby, which has the same tax rate as Wickliffe ( ... )
