The foot
The doctor said that the bone I broke is the most fragile and one of the most important bones in the foot. It connects to all the other bones up the leg so I did an awesome job. Unfortunately she said the x-rays the hospital took are worthless so she had to take more and was swamped today so will get back to me tonight or tomorrow to tell me what she sees. Currently, she has me in the mother of all boots (seriously I look like a spaceman) to try and stablize the foot. She is not thrilled with sending me back to work but she understands the situation. So I have to wear the boot at all times (even when at home just laying around) and in two weeks, if there is no change, I will have to be on bed rest for 6 to 8 weeks.
Needless to say, I am pretty sad...I have been crying since I left the office. I honestly cannot afford to be on short-term disability. Thank God Jeff starts his new job on the 18th but that won't help us much. I am frustrated that I cannot work out. I am frustrated that this will affect our finances and most of all, I just feel like an asshole for having to do all this yet again.
