Look! Something Shiny! *is distracted*
I should be working on my fanfic100 stuff, and I did start something; I even have it open as I type this. But being easily distracted as I am when things aren't going as smoothly as I'd like, I started browsing this site and realized that, Shit! Halloween is in two days! I need to get cracking on the pumpkin carving!
Last year I did up the front porch with lights and old (and very much real) animal bones/skulls and cornstalks and hay bales. The pumpkin in my icon is the one I carved last year, the day before, I think. It was very much a spur of the moment kind of thing. I didn't do the lights and bones and other stuff this year, but I do think I'm going to do the pumpkins. I really, really want to do the drowning pumpkin. But with Halloween on a Monday this year, and the fact that we didn't really get a large amount of kids last year, I'm not sure it's worth the effort. Especially since the rest of the porch isn't decorated. But maybe that would make it even creepier, the only thing on the front porch being a drowning pumpkin tucked back into a corner. Or maybe a bunch of smallish drowning pumpkins.
Gave Cody a bath this morning, now she's all clean and fluffy and nice-smelling. She even behaved for me for once. She walked right into the bathroom, and then right into the shower stall when I told her to. Of course, the treats might have had something to do with it. Bribery is a very good thing, and I'm not above using it.
I need to watch ER and Bewitched. Netflix allegedly still hasn't received Versus back from me, even though I sent it back at the same time I sent back Batman Begins. Batman was very enjoyable, but Versus turned out to be overdubbed so I had to shut it off after a couple of minutes because I cannot watch overdubbing. Can. Not.
