Between guard duty and gaining a..."mentor", of sorts, things have definitely kept me busy as of late. Sometimes...not quite in ways I'd say I enjoyed, but it has been an interesting learning experience, if nothing else. I had never met a detective before until having met Sai-san. It was really exciting getting to see him in action the first time we met and I couldn't help but feel curious about what he did. And so far, he definitely has made for a unique teacher ever since ...if kind of on the overly confident and inconsiderate side at times. There's no doubt that he definitely knows what he's doing, though, and I'm glad he's been letting me tag along with him while he works. I know he didn't have to agree to any of it. Though I sometimes wonder if he did so just so he could use the free labor. He certainly doesn't seem to mind referring to me as simply his "lackey". But if I'm lucky, in some years, maybe I'll become half as talented as him at handling crimes.
...Ah, just need to remember to not neglect my actual guard work due to it. It can be difficult to juggle both when I get too caught up in things.
