This past Saturday, just a little more than a week after my driver's license, ATM card, and MTA card disappeared... my DL showed up! Turns out the guy at our corner bodega had it. So lately the Atlantic/Pacific station in Brooklyn has become what I call the "Jesus Gauntlet." That station has the most trains going through it in Brooklyn (our borough's little Grand Central), which allows for opportunistic religion pushers. Yup, got my new! with 3-D action! New York State Driver's License. Know what's cool about the NY DL? It doesn't ask for your hair color or your weight. I went to the Atlantic Center DMV this morning in order to get my *gulp*... new driver's license! Boy do I hope the picture is better than the last one-- everyone said my AL DL for the last 5 years made me look angry and androgynous.
