Hell yes, SF
Really quick: spent six days in San Francisco and loved it. Mainly I was in the Castro with a friend, visiting mutual friends; we go back to college and high school days. The Castro, by the way, rocks. While I was there I was reading The Ethical Slut, in which the Castro is declared a sex-positive neighborhood. Why, yes it is. Emphatically yes.
I took a page out of the gay man's book today by asking for sex. Granted, I've been cribbing gay men's flirting style for years (I'm assertive, clearly), but between the book and the hot SF pre-Pride action, let's just say I was inspired. I wanted, I asked, I received. Mmmm!
Suffice it to say, SF has joined Nashville and Pittsburgh as Possible Places to Live after BK. It's delightful. I could see myself running a collective art house/gallery there quite easily.
