Last night PM and I celebrated our 11th month-a-versary; holy shit, almost a year now. We went to Webster Hall to see Blackalicious, specifically. We also wound up seeing two very bad hip-hop acts beforehand, a duo and then a white girl who PM swore was Sporty Spice (maybe it was the orange track suit...). Aesop Rock played after mister Blackalicious, and they were *eh*. 'licious was fucking great though. I wish he had headlined and played longer.

Drinks were stupid expensive- like, $8 for a beer in a plastic cup, $11 for a Long Island Iced Tea. There was a photo booth that was fun and cheap, but you get what you pay for. Really, the space was quite nice. Apparently they throw a Halloween party, which would be ideal since it's got this Masque of the Red Death sort of interior about it. Oh yeah, drinks... So we went out to use the ATM and chugged some much cheaper beers and had some pizza, coming back in time to see Blackalicious. Funny side-note, PM was telling me just last week that 90% of hip-hop concert-goers are white and usually guys. I'd say this show was an even higher percentile. But whatever, fuck it. I want to see the Black Eyed Peas if/when they come around, demographics be damned.

It was an all ages show so we were back home after 11 and watched I, Robot. I saw it in Venice with Jen and Carlos, bless them and the all-mighty laptop, but PM saw it for the first time. We likes. I'll even say it's better than Asimov's book, since his was more of a series of unrelated short-stories. The movie's got flashy design and Smith's humor in it's corner, which always helps. But it's a decent who dunnit too.

Tonight: ROLLER DERBY. Funny and brutal stories to follow...
