I got some bad news on Thursday. My stomach problems seem to be related to the fact that my gallbladder doesn't work. Structurally, it's fine. It just won't squirt out the bile into my small intestine. It tries, gets backed up, and causes me pain. So I have to have a cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal surgery), most likely in a few weeks. I see a surgeon in two weeks to discuss the surgery, and then we schedule it.
Sadly, this issue is not caused by poor eating habits or being heavy. I've completely changed my eating habits in the last 9 months; seriously cut out foods that aren't low fat. Nothing fried, oily, eggy, etc. at all, and and it hasn't helped. I've lost some weight as a nice side benefit though smile
I've had "stomach" issues since I was a child, and the gastroenterologist thinks that they've mostly been caused by my gallbladder. So now it has to go.

In better news, we got a grill this weekend. It was the biggest pain in the ass to get setup. It took three of us eight hours to finally get it together and working. It didn't come with enough of the right screws and washers. The directions were completely unhelpful. There was no list of parts and what they were. But we finally got the demon together. We had lovely lean beef burgers and grilled corn on the cob for dinner last night. Delicious biggrin

Hopefully we'll be getting our garden started today. It's getting to be pretty late to start it, and I'm worried if we wait any longer, the fall frosts will kill our veggies.

Our lawn mower is broken, and the lazy boys have yet to find someone to mow it for us, so our front yard looks like a jungle right now. I'll be calling the lawn service on Monday.

I got a job offer from one of the hospitals I interviewed at, and I have an interview with another hospital on Monday. Hopefully they give me an offer too. I'd rather work there (better shift, closer to home), but either one would be good. Yay employment!
