He rode a blazing saddle, he wore a golden star!

Today was pretty good.
I didn't have to work at life sciences today. Hooray! I got to work at Coverdell, but Lauren wasn't there, so I was a little disapointed. She and I get along pretty well. I volunteered to pick up sodas and candy at the sams club, for the break room. I need to find a can for quarters which I will charge for the sodas.
Lisa and I went to the Ramsey today, I am so proud of us. I had to get my towel card and combo for my locker regiven, because they were in the key cards that dissapeared. I've decided I'm going to cancel the locker rental, 6 dollars back in my pocket. I have a locker at work and I don't go after work, so why am I paying 6 bucks for a locker I barely use. I'm going to empty it wednesday and then cancel it. Lisa and I also talked about using a room in the facility for yoga on tuesdays and thursdays, for the girls at work.

I need to remember to stop by HR and ask where my dental insurance card is and where my GDCP money is. I want that money, if I can get it, for the pet fund.

I went out and rode today, it was actually really good. I bought new riding shoes before going out to the barn.

I love them. They are a little big, becuase they are 9.5s, but I think the 9s would have been too tight. They unzipped a little when I walked around and they are really breezy. The mesh part, is just that, mesh and nothing much else there. They weren't cheap but no good horsey shoes are.
Badger was really good today. We worked on walking at a quicker pace, and pivoting on the hind. I felt bad becuase the alternating legs thing that one of my books suggests for encouraging a faster pace at the walk, only confused him. Consistent pressure worked better. I just wish that I didn't have a sinus full of dust now.

Scott and I are watching Blazing Saddles now. This is such a damned funny movie. So terrible, but so good.

Good thing: Lots today. Best good thing was the good ride today.

riding, work
