I had a really great day today. Here's the good things about it:
--had blueberry waffles for breakfast
--got cool swag from ALA's Midwinter Conference, via my boss, who actually went
--one item of the cool swag was an advance reader copy of THE hot vampire novel of 2010
--had lunch with coworkers at
Boosters Cafe, a charitable cafe in the Loop (wanted to try their veggie burger, which is supposed to be awesome, but they were sold out, so I got a really awesome turkey sandwich instead)
--was informed that I get to give the library tour to the cute intern when he starts tomorrow
--signed up for professional organizations (ALA, PLA), and the library paid
--hung out at library for knitting night, complete with wine and chocolate
--am having blueberry waffles, AGAIN, as a snack. Yeah, I went there.
Of course, the awesome was balanced out by Trudy tracking in her own crap from the yard as soon as I came home. Not her fault (it's all one giant swamp out there), but still unpleasant to clean up.
