So, my brother is officially married! The ceremony was pretty damn cool. My sis-in-law walked down the isle to "Love Song" by 311, but she was SOOO happy it was awesome. My brother's friend Dave Bozzi was the JP for the day and he did an awesome job with the ceremony. I pretty much cried through the entire thing though and I lost it after the whole thing was over when I gave my brother a hug. Yikes! How emotional can one person be in one damn day! The party was wicked fun though. Did some dancing, some eating brunch (which was a great idea, btw), and lots of posing for pics. I can't wait until the pictures that were taken by the photographers are ready to view. My dad and grandfather got some great ones, and one I want to make into a keychain for my brother. I just happen to have an empty keychain that holds a picture, so I think it would be neat.
The afterparty at Kirstyn's mom's place was way fun. Cheech, my bro's band played, and so did K's father's band which was luckily a litte easier to listen to. We did some drinkin, swimmin and some dancing...but I went home pretty early because it was Saturday that my cold really started to hit hard and I knew I had homework to do the next day...otherwise I would have gotten plastered and spent the night in Foxboro.
Thank goodness I got an extension on my paper! Although I'm not quite sure what to do on Wednesday, because I only have about half of my paper written, but it only feels like about 1/8 of it the way I'm going with the info I have and the quotes that I have. I may need to cut it down a bit...I don't need to be writing a 20 page paper here, and I think the max is actually 10 pages. Double spaced. Don't want to be going overboard, but I'm actually getting into it! Yay!
I'm still in the midst of figuring out how I'm going to get another car. Apparently, banks don't like to finance cars that are over 5 years old, but I really can't afford a car that is less than 5 years old. Soo, I'll probably need to take out a personal loan and do it that way. My dad checked out at Bank of America and they said that it can take up to 2 weeks to have a loan go through, which I know is total bullshit. You can get a loan in about 2 days if you go to the right bank. Soo, tomorrow I need to go down to Sovereign and talk to them about the possibility of getting a loan, and if I get a cosigner, how quickly it would go through. I don't really want them to go diving into my credit, because I know it's not fabulous right now...and a personal loan will probably have a higher interest rate...but it would at least be a lower high interest rate than if it was completely mine...
Ugh. Loans suck ass. I just wish I could go a while without a car, but not living in the city is tough to get along without one...at least without having to bum rides off everyone all of the time.
Well, hopefully Rob will give me back my computer soon so I can get back to my paper. I have some reading to do, but I'm not sure if I'll get to that tonight. I'm off to see Batman tonight! W00t! I'm excited. I don't remember what reviewers have said about it, but it does look kinda neat. Then, it's off to rent some movies for my film class and watch them tomorrow.
Welp, since I"m at work I should probably actually do some work. So, here I go, doing some work.
Cheers
