I had my first day of training with Marathoners in Training on Saturday. I was really surprised at the number of people that showed up. They said they had 600 people sign up for the winter session, and given that TWHS auditorium was pretty full, I believe it. Today was The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Columbus. This is one of the largest (though our mayor says it is the largest, I'm pretty sure he was saying it in jest) Race for the Cure events in the US. So, I'm training for a half marathon right? It's the beginning of May. My training routine says I should be running around 4 miles comfortably at a time right now. I started slowly pushing up my mileage last week, and finally hit the four mile mark on Monday.
