"Kevin is a jock, who is afraid to be seen with his boyfriend, Lance, who is getting a little tired of it and puts the facts on the table."

New Icons! One of Kevin and the other of Lance...

"Being Perfect Sucks"

Kevin Richardson is perfect. There is no doubt about it. He is a tall, dark and handsome high school senior, the star quarterback, the male lead in all the school plays, holds a 4.0 gpa, and has the perfect athletic body. Kevin is what every guy at school wants to be and what every girl at school wants to date. But you know what they say about the perfect guy... yep, you guessed it. Kevin Richardson is gay.

At an early age, Kevin learned that being gay was not acceptable in his small community. He learned to act like the perfect straight boy. He became jealous of all the other guys who could be themselves, horny straight boys chasing girls, while Kevin had to be someone he wasn't.

Relief to his suffering came in the form of the internet, while his mother thought it was essential to Kevin's academic success, but it was essential to his survival. Kevin learned he wasn't alone; he wasn't a freak. He learned not only did other gay people exist, but also that many straight people didn't think he was a freak or sinner. For a little while he became alive inside.

In high school, Kevin became popular, thanks to his straight jock persona. People idolized him, adored him and confided in him. That's when he found out he wasn't the only liar... they all were. He felt relieved and started to live the part of his life he had been neglecting. Every Friday night, barring any games or plays, Kevin could be found at the local gay teen club.

That formed Kevin's dual life, straight jock boy by day, hot gay stud by night. For a year, everything worked perfect and Kevin had his live both ways. It was in senior year that everything got even better... he fell in love. His name was Lance Bass and he was a gay freshman that was in love with Kevin. Their families went to the same church. Kevin remembered the little blond boy that was the cutest of all the choir boys and always doing everything to please his parents. Then in Kevin's senior year, Lance entered the school on the first day with black hair with blue tips. Kevin couldn't believe the good little boy he knew had changed. For a second, Kevin thought innocent little Lance turned into a liar too...

Online Kevin found the boy of his dreams. LonelyOne was everything Kevin liked about himself and the opposite of everything he hated about himself. LonelyOne was smart, funny... and the one thing Kevin was desperate to be... himself.

Then the day came and Kevin couldn't believe that LonelyOne and Lance were one and the same, and he was in love with Kevin. Stolen kisses in broom closets, cybersex almost every night and every Friday night they danced and made out at a club for gay teens like them.

Everything was perfect... for Kevin.

----------

Kevin kissed Lance quickly on the mouth.

"I can't do this anymore." Lance said in the darkness of the broom closet.

"What?" Kevin was in shock.

"I can't deal with your duality of Straight boy/Gay boy and always being left out. I can't be with you if we aren't together in this relationship 100 percent. I can't stand not being able to even acknowledge knowing you in the hallways. And before you say anything, I'm not talking about being at your side 24/7, I'm talking about letting people know I am your boyfriend." The younger boy fired rapidly in one breath, as he pulled away from the older boy.

Kevin couldn't speak. Was this really happening? It can't be.

"You can't be both gay and straight, Kevin. It's not fair to me. You know it's not fair to you either. You have a choice to make." The freshman whispered before leaving the broom closet.

----------

"Lance," Kevin said as he grab the younger boy's arm and turned him to look into his green eyes. They were in the busy hallway after the last class. Other students were stopping to see why the star quarterback would talk to a freshman.

Lance just glared at his ex-boyfriend.

"I'm sorry, Lance. You mean more to me than any scholarship. If I have to, I'll get a job at Disney World to pay for college. I love..." Kevin's soft eyes got through to the younger boy. Seeing the tension lighten in the fourteen-year-old, Kevin pulled Lance into a smoldering kiss.

People were stunned silent. A cheerleader fainted, but no one caught her. The silence was broken when Justin whistled and Nick Carter started clapping. The broken door to the broom closet on the third floor slid open and, for once, no one noticed Aj with his hand in Brian's pants.

"High School Jocks Suck"

*grunt*
*moan*

"Oh man! I think I just came in my boxers," came a deep voice from the darkness of a broom closet.

*laugh* "Then it's a good thing your pants are down around your ankles, Kev," muses another deep voice.

"Lance! That's easy for you to say, you don't have practice in ten minute. I still have to change into my gear. Someone is going to notice my boxers," Kevin sighed as he flicked on the lights, looking down at his underwear.

"Just tell the guys your cute boyfriend got you all hot and bothered," Smiled the black and green haired boy.

"Funny," the quarterback deadpanned.

----------

"You'd better stop, Lance," Lance's best friend warned.

"What?" the punk-ish freshman replied, after Justin brought him out of is trance, realizing they were in the cafeteria, surrounded by the whole school.

"You have to stop staring at him. Someone's going to notice." Justin said looking down at his food.

"I know, I know, but I can't help it, Justin. I have the hottest boyfriend in school and I can't even eat lunch with him." The duo color haired teen sighed in frustration.

"You knew he had to play it straight when you started dating him," Justin rolled his eyes.

"Well just being with him as little as I am isn't good enough anymore," Lance huffed.

"Then do something about it, talk to him," Justin hissed as he slammed his fork down. "Because you're really bringing me down."

"I have. He doesn't want to 'rock the boat,' he can't risk getting kicked off the team. He really needs the football scholarship, if he wants to go to college. Things have been tough since his dad died." Lance stared down and picked at the meatballs and potatoes... no one was quite sure which was which.

----------

In the dark broom closet.

*kiss*

"Did there have to be a game tonight?" Lance sighed as Kevin pulled away from their kiss.

*kiss*

"I know, but we'll go to the club next Friday," Kevin promised.

"Mmmm..." Lance moaned as his senior boyfriend sucked harder on his neck. Kevin was distracting Lance with a kiss while he worked the freshman's belt and jeans.

"I love the red tips in your hair today, sexy," Kevin growled as he pulled away from Lance's neck and pushed the pair of black jeans to the floor. Kevin quickly sank to his knees.

"Kev, what ar-" Lance was cut off as Kevin's hot and moist mouth enveloped his erection. "...oh."

----------

"What are you doing out here?" The tall, dark and handsome senior whispered as he took Lance by the arm and dragged him away from the locker room door and into the shadows. It was just after a nighttime game and Kevin's team won. The quarterback was heading to the locker room when he saw his secret boyfriend, waiting for him.

"I wanted to congratulate you," Lance whispered, trying to hold back the tears.

"Lance, we talked about this..." Kevin looked over his shoulder as he heard the rest of the team cheering and heading towards the locker room. "Go, I'll see you later tonight."

Lance was pushed towards the parking lot, where Aj and Brian were waiting to give him a lift home. Tears were streaming down his cheeks.

----------

CtrlFreak: Lance?

CtrlFreak: Lance, I'm sorry.

CtrlFreak: Lance, I know you're there. Please talk to me.

CtrlFreak: Please, Lance. Forgive me.

LonelyOne: I can't do this anymore.

CtrlFreak: Do what?

LonelyOne: Whatever we are. It's not working anymore.

CtrlFreak: Don't say that. We can make it work.

LonelyOne: No, I wont date someone that's ashamed to be seen with me.

CtrlFreak: Lance, I'm not ashamed of you.

LonelyOne: You wont be seen with me. You are ashamed to be with me.

CtrlFreak: Lance, I'm sorry.

CtrlFreak: Lance?
