‘Miami’ Tracks The Last Escapee In ‘Mayday’
Posted by Rachel Trongo - 15/04/11 at 04:04 am

According to CSI Files sources, “Mayday” finds Horatio and Frank escorting the last escaped prisoner back to Miami. Jack Toller has spent the past seven months in the Bahamas, and now he’s being taken back to Florida in a private jet. The plane is starting to descend, but Horatio notices that something is wrong. They’re changing course, so he heads into the cockpit to ask what’s going on. Captain Winston claims that they have to circle the airport until it is their turn to use the runway. Horatio points out that they have priority landing, but the pilot tells the flight crewman to show the determined CSI back to his seat. Frank sees the crewman reach into a compartment and pull out a gun.

Frank struggles with the crewman, and a bullet erupts from the gun and pierces the leather seat near Jack. Captain Winston comes out of the cockpit with his own gun raised, But Horatio puts several bullets in the pilot before the man can take aim. Frank is still fighting the crewman for control of the gun, and several more bullets make their way into the cockpit, damaging the controls and striking First Officer North in the torso.

The plane starts to rock violently. Horatio drops his gun, and Frank hits his head on a table while struggling with the crewman. The crewman’s gun is loose, and Horatio dives to reach it first. They struggle, and Jack tries to get free of his handcuffs to grab Frank’s gun while the detective is still dazed from hitting his head.

Meanwhile, in the cockpit, the wounded First Officer is trying to land the plane despite his injuries. The plane rocks again, and Horatio is able to get hold of the crewman’s gun. He shoots the crewman several times, making sure he won’t be causing any more trouble on this flight. The plane bounces along the ground, jolting the passengers and breaking the table Jack was handcuffed to-he’s able to get free, and he pushes open the emergency door. Jack escapes while Horatio and Frank are still trying to recover from the crash landing. Horatio looks around at the two dead bodies and the wounded man in the cockpit. He crawls toward Frank, telling him to stay still while they wait for the paramedics to arrive.

Horatio questions the First Officer, but he can’t give them any information about Jack’s plans. He paid the three men on the plane to get him into the country, and Captain Winston was the only one who knew what Jack was planning to do after that. Walter has a hunch when he sees that the plane went down in the Everglades just a few miles from a small airstrip. The team speaks to Marcel Largos and his girlfriend Renee, but Marcel denies being involved. The team looks for proof that he had something to do with Jack’s latest escape, but they can’t find anything at the airstrip.

The CSIs realize that Marcel really was involved after he winds up dead. Jack shot him, and the team finds Renee injured at the scene. However, Renee isn’t just Marcel’s clueless girlfriend-she’s actually Special Agent Renee Locklear, a Secret Service agent working with Homeland Security. Jack is in possession of six stolen offset plates that can be used to manufacture fake $100 bills. Marcel was organizing a buyer for the plates, but the whole thing went south when Jack got suspicious about Renee’s presence. He discovered that she carried a gun and used it to shoot Marcel. The team knows that Jack is going to sell the plates, but they don’t know when or where the deal will take place.

Meanwhile, Jack has another potential victim in his grasp. When he escaped after shooting Marcel, Jack jumped into the passenger seat of the first car he could find. The teenager in the driver’s seat is terrified, but Kaylee Anderson has no choice but to listen to Jack. He’s pointing a gun at her, and he tells her to drive.

Please note that the above plot details have not been confirmed by CBS, Alliance Atlantis or Bruckheimer Films, and until such time you should treat this information as you would any other rumour. The above information comes from early script drafts and the details of the episodes are liable to change before the episodes are shown.
