This is a UK TV announcement: Channel One has vanished. :(
Except, they didn't actually announce anything, and I only discovered this when I put the telly on today and there was nothing there but a black screen saying it's gone. Poof. Bye Bye. Google informs me it's because Sky bought it from Virgin Media, and decided to scrap it. *sigh* Maybe it's no great loss - the typical daily viewing schedule would cover about 3 different series of Star Trek, the Fresh Prince of Bel Air (remember that?), and reality cop shows - but it's still disappointing not to have it. Where will I get to watch endless Star Trek now?! It's a Thing, okay? I ♥ Picard! Farewell Channel One, you brought the good old sci-fi, I shall miss you. (OMG NO MORE X-FILES EITHER. Waaaaah!).

In other less dramatic news, I've started watching Due South from the beginning again. I haven't actually watched any of my dvds in about 3 years. Callum/Hugh/various other hotstuff actors came about to distract me with their evil ways, but the other night I felt like a bit of Mountie action so I indulged. :) It's still my happy-place show, even when it's depressing. *g*
In RL news, my glasses are ready to be picked up, quicker than I expected. I'll be able to see better soon! Yay! :D
