Case Reopened!

Some fannish thing possibly hit me over the head as I slept the other night.

First, I had a delightful dream about Gibbs (Mark Harmon) from NCIS. I love watching NCIS, and Gibbs is a fine man who I wouldn't kick out of bed for dribbling coffee all over the place, but he's not on my List or anything. Random!

It was one of those situations where I knew that he knew that I loved him, and HE knew that I knew that he loved me, but we would not admit it to each other. The angst! Also, I think I wanted him to give me a ring but he gave me a box of computer parts instead and gleefully suggested I help him and his team put it back together... I was okay with that because he was my love bunny after all. *g*

Unlike the time I had a dream about Horatio Caine (sorry David Caruso, even if you did come rescue me in your Hummer, I can't bring myself to like you in that way), I woke up feeling warm and fuzzy inside, and reminded myself I really do need to get the NCIS box sets at some point. ‘Some point’ ended up being later in the day when I purchased Season 1 to start me off. Whee!

Later, there was Sherlock Holmes (again!).

I discovered that my friend wanted to see Case 39 - for the demon child element of all things - so, you know, lots of \o/ from me. We arranged to go see it, and I was very excited, as you can imagine.

Excitement, however, was short lived as the film broke before it could begin. Yes folks, Callum's impending hotness BROKE. THE. MOVIE. The adverts played fine, but when there were no trailers I started to get a wee bit nervous. Darkness carried on for 10 minutes or so, before a manager came in to say there had been a technical hitch in the projection booth and the movie could not be shown. It would take them a couple of hours to fix... if it could be fixed at all that evening.

WOE!

We couldn't hang around all night waiting, and as everyone was told just to go into any other film they liked, we slinked off into Sherlock Holmes for it's final showing before it left the building.

That cheered me up a bit. Actually it cheered me up A LOT. There was the manlove, Jude Law starting to look attractive (o.O), nooo must focus on the Robert Robert Robert, and the fighting, and the shirtless wet RDJ. Yes, it was awesome all over again. :D Though this time I had songs in my head from the fanvids I'd been watching - namely the fabulous 'Fever' and 'Tik Tok' - whenever certain scenes were playing. HEE.

So the night was not a total bust, though lack of Callum was disappointing.

As if the Universe was trying to make it up to me when I got home, eXistenZ was on the TV. Um, thanks Universe? Never stuck with that movie long enough to even reach the Callum scenes before, but I plodded on with the silliness this time. There was Don McKellar's Hair Of Awesome, and Jude Law's horrendous accent, but Callum was cute in his wee glasses, and he looked like he had a great time running about with that machine gun. Oh, Callum. <3

One of these days, I WILL see him on the big screen again. I hope... *g*
