The Star Trek movie... awesome. The only one I had a hard time wrapping my head around as played by the new actor was Sulu. Sulu will always and forever be associated with George Takei. Then again, Takei holds high esteem in my book for his push for LGBT rights, while Shatner and the rest of the old cast is just kind of "meh" to me on a level outside of the original series. I think I shall give Takei a hug at D*C this year if he's there. Then again, I was probably the only person that thanked him for doing something besides Star Trek at the con.
In other movie news, I think I'll be taking the day off of work for Half Blood Prince's premier in order to hang out with the HP Ohio people. And next week is all about seeing movies I haven't yet seen... voldiebeth has promised an after work Transformers and Hot Fuzz viewing because I'm the only person that probably hasn't seen Transformers in this universe.
