In case you didn't know, my fannish library is always open to browsing on Pinboard at
blueMeridian. That holds alllll my fannish bookmarks since about mid-2009, including the 3,725 tagged unread. *cough* ANYWAY, the problem with that has always been that the site is organized by original bookmark date, meaning updated rec notes on older bookmarks are still buried, which doesn't make it so great for people tracking recs. So I finally got around to creating a secondary Pinboard account with just recs which you can find at
blueMeridian_recs. Links only get transferred in as I rec them, so the newest stuff is always at the top and I populated it randomly with some old favorites, too, as a way of testing the format and workflow.
The tagging system is still pretty basic because that's how I roll, but it has the essentials. I do wish I could change the way the tags on the right hand side show up as I find the cloud format cluttered and difficult to navigate, but alas, that's baked in for public view. (I can change my own view when logged in, but not what everyone else sees.) Pinboard is still the easiest platform for my workflow despite that shortcoming.
Obviously there's been a few recs showing up here, too. I prefer the hand coded to the Tumblr crosspost, which still requires tweaking after the fact for clarity, so I'll probably go for the manual version of the format I've been using lately.
