(Sorry, Car)
Today was the kind of day where I was distracted by a half dozen things and managed to back my car into the front corner of my brother-in-law's truck bumper. The truck is an F350 extended cab with a long bed, for the record, so it's not exactly invisible but, in my defense, it was parked in an odd spot which is also where I usually reverse into in order to back out and leave. The car is old and came dented in the first place, no lights were broken, and the truck is entirely unscathed, so while there is a sizable new dent in my trunk, the main damage was to my temper. There may have been some brief but very loud swearing. At least we live in the country and the neighbors aren't right next door? The important part is that the day is ending better than how the first half of it went, right? Right.
Meanwhile, food is being evil to me and there's been some possible cross-reactivity to soybean related legumes, which means my diet has been further restricted for a couple of weeks as an initial test. Annoyingly complicating at this point, particularly considering there's a business related day trip on Thursday and I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to pack for food and snacks. This isn't as difficult as I'm making it, the uncertainties are just giving me Food Issues, so I need to settle on what I'm packing tomorrow so I can stop worrying about it. (Today was also not a good day for Food Issues, but that's ending better than it started, too.)
On the bright side - there will damn well be a bright side - my OMG Check, Please Kickstarter pack arrived today! The featured item is a surprisingly thick little book that I'm saving to pour over during the car ride Thursday. Once I've done that, there is always plenty of fic on tap. ;)
