Fannish Signal Boosting
I mostly feel like someone beat me up and kicked me out an airlock without a spacesuit today. Yesterday's exercise class trashed my legs/butt/core, allergies keep trashing my energy, and I'm generally feeling like the peripheral chores are piling up. I planned on washing everything that could be washed in the living room and bedroom today along with other neglected cleaning and instead I spent the morning sucking in dust while tagging things with stock numbers to enter in the system and then the first part of the afternoon passed out on the couch for over an hour. It wasn't so much that I fell asleep as I just gave up on clinging to wakefulness.
Now I'm looking at DW and going, "uggggh, stuff actually going on and I'm out of brain power!!" Figures. ;)

snickfic is hosting a No-Frills Multi-Fandom Friending Meme on Dreamwidth (I feel like I may be the last to know about this given the number of links I've seen to it in the last hour, but there you go), and over on Livejournal, silviarambles is hosting a Friending Meme for LJ Survivors - 2015 Re-edition. The DW variation looks, at a glance, a bit more fannish centric and the LJ a bit more general.
Stargate SG-1
I somehow missed that
princessofgeeks' Stargate SG-1 Jack/Daniel rec page has been refreshed and updated by
endeni!! I know full well how many fics and links and people can go astray on rec pages, so this is both a major hat tip for the work and a, yes, rec of the rec list.
Smallville, Stargate Atlantis, & Teen Wolf
Speaking of recs,
mecurtin has an active Recs du Jour series happening. I am wayyyy behind in checking these fics out and bookmarking the ones I'd like to read. There was a Smallville emphasis during late July and part of August, but it's now an assortment including Teen Wolf and Stargate Atlantis. The recs are posted individually to Tumblr, but DW has the compilation posts.
Roadhouse
Randomly, they're re-making Roadhouse. (Blue:"No surp-")
...Starring Ronda Rousey. (Blue: "O.o")
It's Hollywood and they can't resist the remake urge, but if it has to happen, I'm totally okay with it suddenly being this kind of interesting.
Yuletide
Yuletide is firing up. Full speed ahead and watch for bears, my friends.
Killjoys & Dark Matter
A lot of people are chatting up Killjoys and Dark Matter right now. I will say that I'm intrigued but I find it more challenging to jump into new fandoms without coherent intro/pimping posts that I can actually find. Thoughts? Anyone? Besides the general fandom tags on Tumblr, unless you have (good) experiences with these particular fandoms. In general, I've found that kind of approach is tough on both my time and available sanity. Or is that my only resort right now?
