In between this, that, and the other, I've been cleaning out my sprawling Evernote recipes file in preparation for going through and tagging things properly so it's slightly more useful than a general search. The recipes date back to before I had any suspicions of food allergies at all, so you can tell the various stages by what I was clipping:
- Anything Goes, I'm Just Half Foodie
- Gluten Free for the Next Family Holiday!
- Maybe No Gluten or Dairy for Me? (Which is Apparently 98% of the American Diet)
- SOY?! Homemade Bread is Fine, Though!
- wtf Gluten/Dairy, I Thought We Were Buds
- etc
So, basically, there's a lot of deleting happening and the occasional "wtf?", plus the tragic sighs as I remove yet another of the 5 million tiramisu recipes. Occasionally I'll keep something on the basis of it can be converted easily enough, but I started out with over 4,100 entries, so deleting is definitely in order. Eventually each session I get to the point of saying, "no, fuck you" to each offending entry, which is usually a sign to stop for a while and go back to whatever it was I was avoiding for a bit in the first place.
