Busy, busy, busy. I just had some BBQ-flavored grilled chicken from the grocery's deli, it was tasty. I must say that 2 things have greatly improved since I got here: This, and they now have what they call "artisian" bread - basically your normal Euro-style that's actually baked daily or semi-daily, has a crust, isn't just white goo and canNOT be reduced to 1/4 of its size when squished. Years ago when I travelled here and even after I moved, all you could see left and right was the "Wonderbread" style of disgusting - so wheeeeee, I should send them a letter and feed them a cookie. Hihi.
Business trip was fine, another quickie. I think they will bite. I have to wait with any personal travel bookings until they've decided as potential schedules could cross. Meanwhile, Mom and Dad are getting restless and are thinking of just coming here. I haven't been able to leave again to see them in Germany since last fall so it's almost been a year that we've seen each other, and that's too long. Phone calls are fine but can't replace actually spending time together. I'm thinking this could be great too, some roadtrips here and maybe a 5-day cruise or something like that? I've been flirting with the idea anyway as this is something I haven't done yet from here and they'd love to go to Hawaii that way {I would too, needless to say - water and more water, wheeeee!}. I guess we'll see, starting with the clients decision.
Must return my 20 books to the library and see what I want this time. I'm thinking philosophy. I'm in that kind of mood.
