Planning For a Craft Fair
For World Wide Knit in Public I will be vending on the 22nd at the Old Stone House. This means quite a bit of work over the next couple of weeks especially since I haven’t ever vended. So I have none of those things prepared. You know bags, displays, even items to make vending easier. The only things I have are a Square and Business cards.
This also means I shall be canceling the June update and closing the shop from the 20th to the 23rd. To get ready and update changes in the shop. Instead the next update will be Friday July 19th.
I’ve been putting together a list of items I need and it just seems to be getting longer.
- Display
- Signage
- Utility Apron - I have a plan of action and jeans that can be sacrificed
- Change
- Paper receipts
- Stock - I’m dropping off a wholesale order this week so my actual stock is up in the air
- Bags
- Time (but don’t we always?)
- Layout - I will have half of a 6′ table.
I took a try at a display and want to change most things about it.
If I use it at all it would need, a frame of some kind, and something more interesting than random colored push pins. I may possibly move to a metal frame and hooks. So far I’m exploring displays at staples.
Now to work out my schedule and what I shall be doing the next couple of weekends to get ready, and checking on shipping time for any orders I place.
