Looking Back on 2013 Goals

Happy New Year Everyone!

Well I hope everyone enjoyed ringing in the New Year whatever you chose to do.I spent it with friends having a fun night.

So Last January I posted a set of goals. These goals below to be exact.

Now for the new year:

1. Double Knitting - I want to do more - both knitting and designing with it in the new year

2. Designing - I put out  3 patterns last year. Can I double that to 6 this year? Will 2013 have a publication possibly?

3. New techniques/skills (last year I learned to spin let’s see what we can get up to this year)

4. Socks - let’s try that again

5. Ever present Stash busting

6. Sweaters - shall we aim for 4?

7. More Hats

How did I do?

1. Lantern Corp Scarf Re-knit and two double knit designs in progress. (I will call that a victory)

2. Designing - I did a few submissions, The Bowties are cool gloves came out, I have some cowls, and some gloves in progress

3. Chain Plying/plying on the fly while not the same, I learned them in tandem

4. Dad’s socks

5. I actually didn’t track this at all this year, but I know I brought in less yarn on a whim and much more for specific projects so the yarn that arrived in went out of my stash rather quickly

6. A sweater dress and a striped cardigan we can count that as 2.5 right?

7. Two more added to the  hat pile

Not bad at all, part of the reason I like setting goals is that I have a year to achieve a nebulous thing. Something that is on the back of my mind for a while and usually when I find myself at loose ends I look at things I had planned and see if I can get started on something.
