Liverpool in for Spanish starlet Javi Martinez
Rafa Benitez has lined up Athletic Bilbao midfielder Javi Martinez as a long-term replacement for Xabi Alonso.
Martinez is regarded as one of the best prospects in Spain. And Bilbao, who have the 20-year-old under contract until 2012, want around £10m.

Liverpool won 4-0 against Blackburn, goals from Nando (2), King Dan & Ngog. It could have been more to be honest.
Football Focus on BBC1 was today live from Anfield because of the 20th Anniversary of Hillsborough this week. There was a film shown throughout it about Hillsborough and it brought tears to my eyes.

REDS WAITING ON YOSSI INJURY NEWS
Liverpool are waiting on the results of a scan to discover how long they will be without in-form Yossi Benayoun. The Israeli star suffered a hamstring injury in training and is doubtful for tomorrow night's clash with Real Madrid at Anfield.
